Nice video, Sparrows are lovely little finches and are getting rarer. Pigeons are (despite lots of prejudice!) quite pretty with great colours.
When we lived in Sussex there was 1 blackbird who used to nick catfood from outside bowls, I think it would have come indoors given the opportunity. We also had an enormous gull who would scare the hell out of our cat.
We moved to the edge of Dorset in 2019 and the birdlife is amazing, I have seen things that I had only seen in books before.
…and yes, I do know how lucky we are. These birds give huge entertainment and bring us loads of joy
WOW fab photos i still cant get them on my posts lol.
I scolded a caseworker yesterday across from me as she was chucking huge chunks of bread out and we were beset with large gulls. my reason for doing so is we are in a dodgy time with a highly pathogenic bird flu hitting our birds.A****vian influenza H5N8.
i run two poultry groups on facebook and all my members have to keep their birds in away from wild birds who are carriers.
sadly we dont want to bring in gulls as they can carry it further.
