Hi all Howzi here (M38 south uk) , finally plucked up the courage to join up to the forum and speak
New to all this but after suffering with R&R for over 10 years an not having much of an oulet to people who actually understand the things i go through an have to deal with , i thought it was about time to try some support
I did alot of therapy groups an awareness groups etc in my earlier days but i found them to be too troublesome for me
Anyway before i blab for to long , what I really need right now is to speak with / make friends with / others with ms
What i have struggled with is finding people of a similar age , who might be at similar stages of there life an deal with similar things to me
So here’s me reaching out to meet new people in the hope i can make some friends who i can turn to for a chat that understand, and also provide the same in return
Don’t be afraid to jump in. Nobody bites (and even if they did, they can’t reach you online)!
Best to read and research MS extensively. After a while, you can work out who/what you are and what bits are relevant to you - and soon work out which bits are bullshit motivated by self-interest and which bits are genuine. Besides, the more expert you become, soon you can be helping out others too
Hi Howzi, welcome to the forum, I’m sure you’ll be happy here! I’m Poz - 43, Yorkshire, RRMS 3yrs/dx 1yr😁
I’m not quite at the level of experience as you and I know I’m fortunate so far in my journey to not have many physical struggles. As a result I find this forum invaluable as I’m being prepared for the future and all the honest posts help stave off the dreaded denial.
