I had earlier this month lost my DLA benefit because my GP completed Factual Report for Disability Living Allowance with the completely wrong information, even saying I dont take any medication for my MS, and have never had a relapse.
It’s been a tough 10 days, but my Husband was called by a Decision Maker Team Leader at the DLA who said they have looked at the evidence and have reversed the decision with immediate affect, no tribunal needed, and apologised.
It can be done !
My husband wrote a strongly worded yet polite letter to the surgery, with demands, which all were met. We got an apology from the GP, and a new ‘Factual Report for Disability Living Allowance’ form was couriered to the DLA.
My husband then called the DLA on Tuesday and made sure he got through to the a manager in the ‘Decision Makers Team’. I don’t know what he said, he won’t say, but we got a call today to say sorry, Benefit back in place, not to worry.
He did say he asked about ATOS, and was told I will never be troubled by them, as you have MS and thats progressive.
