Good meeting with the consultant today 👍

I’ve been seeing the same neurology consultant for around 2 years now. I like him, he calls me by my first name. He’s an experienced chap and, an educator in his field bringing on the next neurologists that we’ll need. I have confidence in him. We even had a couple of laughs during the meeting which, I’m sure helps to make it all a bit easier :slightly_smiling_face:

My blood test for all the horrible things like Hepatitis came back negative so, he approved of my choice for Kesimpta. He said that my epilepsy is looking stable for now but, they’re still moving me onto a different antiseizure medication that will suit me better.

There was no talk of my last MRI scans but, I suppose no news is good news.

On the whole - I’m pretty happy with that. It felt like another small step forwards :+1:

I hope you’re all having a good day.

Take care x

Jon.

Thank you Hank. I think the next step will be a meeting with my MS nurse to Finnish up everything for the DMT and, I have what I think is probably my last diabetes review tomorrow :crossed_fingers::slightly_smiling_face:

Great to hear things are stable and moving forward, that trust with your consultant really matters and small wins add up. To support overall wellbeing alongside treatment, app for corporate wellness offers like guided fitness, stress management, and habit tracking which can help maintain balance and energy during your journey

That’s great news Jon, and sorry I hadn’t seen your progress sooner - I haven’t been on the forums for a few weeks.

I guess you are a little closer to starting Kesimpta since you posted earlier this month? Have you had vaccinations etc?

I take Kesimpta and it’s been great so far. I hope it’s the same for you. Happy to answer any questions you might have.

Thank you Alison :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s good to see you back on - I hope you’ve been keeping well x

I’ve had the Pneumococcal vaccine so far. I think they want me to have the Shingles vaccine next at some point. My blood tests have all come back good so, I’m all ready to see my Ms Nurse on the 2nd June. It seems to be ticking along ok for now. I hope you’re getting this nice weather wherever you are.

Have a good day and, take care mate :slightly_smiling_face: x

Thanks Jon, and apologies for not being on and replying again!

How are things with you?

I went out with my local MS Society group for a curry this week. They are a friendly bunch and I am getting to know people a bit more as I’ve been to a few of the socials and attend the weekly MS adapted Pilates class.

I tell you what though, the car park for the curry house was so awkward to get out of! I did a number of 29 point turns trying to get out and almost closed my eyes and winced, praying to god that I didn’t scrape my car or anyone else’s! :face_with_peeking_eye::laughing::laughing: I managed it though (finally!). I won’t be parking there again :rofl:

Do you have an MS Society group near where you live?

Hi Alison.

… never any need to apologise to me mate :slightly_smiling_face: x

A curry night sounds great. I do like a nice curry.

I don’t know about the 29 point turn though - I doubt my eyes could handle a simple 3 point turn without putting a new dent in a car now so, it sounds like you managed that carpark better than I would have:smiley:

We do have a group round here that have coffee mornings which, I’m looking forward to popping along to at some point.

I’m doing ok - They’ve been doing more scans and blood tests on me recently to try to figure me out properly before I start a DMT. My nurse has pulled my next appointment forward a little so, that’s a bit closer now :+1:

I hope you’ve been keeping as well as can be :crossed_fingers:

All the best x

Jon.

Aw thanks Jon

That’s good about your appointment being pulled forward. I hope the scans and tests mean that you can get started on treatment soon.

And I hope your MS group are a nice bunch too
