Gobbledegook!

Hello you lovely lot.

Does anyone else struggle to describe their symptoms? I am waiting to hear back from my MS nurse about some new symptoms I’m having.

Does what I say make sense to you? In my right foot I am having a number of things happening, it feels like all the bones under my foot are smashed and the pain is extremely acute. It also feels like I’m standing on an ants nest and all the little buggers are crawling all over my foot and up into my leg! Plus the three toes on the right of my foot are periodically going numb.

Does that sound ok, like I’ not going crazy? And can anyone relate to any of these please?

Thank you

hi Freckles

yes it makes sense, MS messes with your nerve endings.

my original neuro (lovely man) really enjoyed hearing my descriptions, saying it helped him in his work.

so you’re not crazy, you’re not imagining it.

keep coming on this site.

look after your feet though, i neglected mine until i found a wonderful podiatrist who is based at an hairdressers very close to my house. she is going to give me a hot wax treatment next time.

Hi Freckles,

MS symptoms are weird and often difficult to describe,

I completely understand the sensation of having ants crawling on your foot and up your leg. I have the same thing - it’s called formication and is a recognised symptom of MS.

that`s interesting Mrs Flute…a formicary is a place where ants live!

Yep… thats MS for you.The times i have told neuros and drs and they have looked at me as if i am mad when i have explained my symptoms. One of them was like someone had poured icy water into my veins from the top of my head.Another was a feeling like a brain quake, like my brain was moving and shaking about at times.Very scary feelings we can get that make us sound like we are mad.I have also lost skills too.I could spell really well and now i make mistakes all the time and i have lost my grammer skills altogether now.

Thanks all for your replies, not just me then My neuro loves to listen to my descriptions too. I think I’ve lost some skills too, I used to be really good at quizzes, but seem to have lost a lot of knowledge. I’m definitely going to come on here more often, I’d forgotten how good it is. I think Facebook groups have taken over a bit, but there doesn’t seem to be any of the negative, spiteful people on here that stalk Facebook!

Yeh, we`re a good gang!
