Does anyone find that Gapapentin helps with spasticity? I’ve just started on it to see if my chronic leg stiffness will improve. I’m on 3 x 300 ml caps per day just now. I’m only on day 4 of it, but I think there may be hope…
Hi,
I switched from Baclofen to Gabapentin about 6 months ago. Weirdly the baclofen was giving me paradoxical spasms and so I had to come off it. The Gabapentin has been great. It helps enormously with the neuropathic pain which was the main reason I was prescribed it but has also eased my leg stiffness noticeably too.
I am taking 600 in the morning and at night and 300 at lunch. But I built up to that gradually
Good luck with it,
B
it works with some people and otherd it does not.
early days for you so give it time .
i take a large dose and it works for me but not everyones the same. trial and error im afraid
i’ve just started too, the Amytriptyline was knocking me out and i couldn’t move afterwards for 14 hours. the Gabapentin at least leaves me feeling some sort of alive. not seen any changes yet in my pins and needles especially overnight but its still early days. i’m hopeful.
Hi
I am on Pregabalin with no side effects but I don’t know for how long which I statred why my highjacked posted in the first place. Had horrible nightmares when I tried Gabapentin and was like a zombie on the Amitiyptline same with Baclofen. Hope this post does not get Evangalist Just Chatting treatment and stays on point.

Dave,
Had to laugh at your Evangelical joke
Given you can’t tolerate Gabapentin, amytriptliline or baclofen SURELY to goodness the powers that be will allow you to continue with the Pregablin?
Can you ask your neuro to intervene on your behalf? If yoiu need a medication you need it, regardless of what the bean counters think.
All the best Dave,

HAVE AN APPOINMENT ON WED WILL KEEP U UPDATED
Best wishes for Wednesday. I find that putting my views on paper helps. The GP has a record of your symptoms and reactions to other meds and hopefully, this’ll give you the result you need.

Yes, Dave, we are all with you (apart from the Evangelist, maybe)
