Please can someone give me some advice.
I am at the moment suffering from cramped up toes on one foot. This seems to be worse during the day but gets bit better at night. Walking/standing is a problem & if anyone has had/have this problem then is there medication that can help?
Hi Simkaz and welcome.
I have toes like that on one foot. I am told that the are claw toes caused by spasticity. I take baclofen and also have toe stretchers that I got from Amazon (called yoga toes). The do help a bit.
I saw an orthopaedic guy who suggested cutting the nerves in the toes to release them but the physio warned me against this as I would loose toe push off strength when I walked.

Hi Simkaz
I get spasms in my toes, and they either curl up under my foot, with the big toe sticking upright, or they spread out wide, both ways painful.
I take baclofen, and whilst it does help, it doesn’t stop it çompletely. Have a word with your MS nurse or GP to see if they think medication would help.
Not sure if I have seen you on the forum, so welcome.

Hello.
This is a strange business this MS. After sitting in the evening, my left foot sort of folds up and rises gently into the air. If I tried to do that I couldn’t. Then the twitch travels up my leg. It’s my party trick but I’m the only one who notices.
Best wishes. Steve
one of my party pieces is that when I yawn (strongly) my left arm starts to levitate. Giggles all round.
Re Toe spasm I get some relief from Baclofen
All the best Mick
