Fluttering in my leg

For the past few days I have been experiencing a fluttering /tick in the back of my thigh. If you put your hand there you can feel the fluttering. My leg doesn’t move at all so it’s not what I would call a spasm. It’s not much of anything in the scheme of things but it’s beginning to really irritate me. In bed at night it’s especially annoying. Anyone have anything similar?

Jane

Hi Jane… yep I get them. Forget what they’re called… but ‘fluttering’ is a good way to describe it. I mostly get them in my thighs but sometimes other places too.

Yes very annoying and very MS!

For Pat:

Fasciculation, I think is the word!

Yeah, I get 'em too. Don’t hurt at all in my case, but can be damn annoying. Especially if I’m trying to concentrate on something (TV programme), and one starts up but just won’t stop. Similar annoyance factor to a dripping tap! Sometimes I’m shouting at it (the flutter, not the TV): “Oh shut up! Don’t you know I’m trying to watch this?” I’ve also been known to slap the spot, to try to make it stop.

Hi Jane

My legs flutter all the time. Don’t notice it until I am trying to sleep. It feels like a an insect is burrowing up and down my legs. Annoying but not as annoying as the burning.
