Flu jab - good or bad idea?

had mine a week ago - no problems. Like yours appointments were at 1 minute intervals at my GP’s - mine was at 11.11

Had one the last 2 years,no reaction just a dead arm for a while

Hi Spacejacket. I couldn’t find the article you referred to, but it’s an EXCELLENT website and I found other useful stuff, so thanks for the link.

Single use flu vaccine injections do not contain mercury. It was used as a preservative in vials which had multiple vaccinations taken from it. Single injections have no need for a preservative. That website is as reliable as reading the Daily Mail.

I’ve had the flu jab for years, no problems. Last year I couldn’t because of low lymphocytes. I’m very glad to be able to have it again this year.

I really don’t want to catch flu.

It seems to me that the risk of getting 'flu and it stirring up one’s MS in a nasty way is quite a big risk and one with nasty consequences.

Even with the vaccination, the risk of getting 'flu still worries the heck out of me - the vaccine is not perfect by any means and, having had 'flu only once many years ago (pre-MS), I dread ever catching it again. However, getting vaccinated is a big step in the right direction in terms of managing that risk.
