Hi all.

Cynthia`s funeral went ok, as these things do. 70 folk attended!

We were e-mailed a video, which the funeral home put together. It has accomanying music…Elvis…Memories…

Eric Clapton…Tears in Heaven and another…In the arms of Angels…oh my word…my heart broke seeing all the lovely piccies of Cynth as a child, blossoming into a beautiful woman, surrounded by those who loved her. it hurt my heart to watch and I cried loads.

I have to draw a line under it as it has sapped my strength so much…sorry, I dont mean tos ound harsh…it just hurts…

You don’t sound harsh Poll…I know what you mean. After my mum’s funeral, I felt it was time to move forwards. I knew she would have wanted that for me…its what I would want my children to do.

Hiya Poll

As you know it’s only been a few weeks since I lost my dad to cancer. I know feelings and emotions you will have will be all over the place at different times over the coming days.

It’s always the loved ones that are left behind that have to ‘deal’ with the ‘missing’ but we do.

I had such great times with my colossus of a dad and I miss him …but… he has left me with such great memories to treasure for ever and I love my dad for that.

Give us a smile, Poll, even if it has a few tears.

Sorry for your loss Marty. I lost my dad on 14th of January. I can identify with your feelings about your dad. I would describe my dad in the same way.
