Feeling ill, not ms but Drs no help

Hi

Feeling desperate at the moment and wondering if anyone had similar experience.

For the past 2 months I have been feeling breathless ( having to take deeper breaths ) , weak , exhausted, fuzzy head , palpitations and just generally not well.

My Gp did blood tests which were fine and sent me on my not so merry way .

I have rebooked to go back but only appointment was in January.

Any ideas my fellow ms people . I am getting desperate.

Thank you & Take Care

Hello Smurf,

Have you spoken to your MS team? They may be able to help. I’m wondering if your symptoms could be related to MS fatigue. I have no medical qualification, but have suffered from fatigue in the past and can identify with palpitations, weak, exhausted and generally not well. But these symptoms can, of course, be caused by so many things. So why not give your MS nurse a call?

I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful.

Ben

Hi

Thank you for your reply . I will speak to the nurses but I don’t think it’s ms related but you never know .

Claire

I generally feel unwell aswell, flu like symptoms all the time , exhausted etc .my vertigo has got worse also. All my bloods are always fine . Drs just send me away and my nurse just says to carry on physio and to speak about anxiety. I do all of that. My vertigo has got worse and there not helping. As for my flu like symptoms my nurse says thats not a ms symptom , but my dr does nothing… i just dont know where to turn to be honest  x

The sneakiest reason for such symptoms, and when every other potential physical cause has been ruled out, is stress, anxiety and depression, the psychosomatic effect or disease, from the greek word psychosomatiko which describes the interaction between mind and body,

The good news is that you can manage this with psychotherapy and life style change as well as a whole new perception of the world and of you relate to it,

It works and it is beneficial on every aspect of your life
