Just wondering if anyone who has experienced numbness in their face has also had any swelling not linked to medication side effects? Unsure if mine is a symptom of something else. I’m aware MS can cause numbness and paralysis but nothing regarding swelling. Thanks 
Would not have thought swelling would come into it.
More likely an infection, or injury.
my face went numb just over a year ago and thats what led to my dx
never had any swelling though

I had numbness and weakness on the left side of my face ( and body ) there was no swelling though That’s what prompted me to finally stop ignoring my symptoms and seek help as I really thought I’d had a stroke, thankfully that was ruled out. My numbness on my face has mostly gone but left sided weakness is still there sometimes Ruby x
I have had numbness in my face several times now but i have never had any swelling.
It would be a good idea to see your GP to get this checked out.
This could be an infection and i was told by my ms nurse that an untreated infection could sometimes lead to a relapse. Its not worth risking a relapse when you may just need antibiotics.
