Ending of Covid restrictions

What do people here think about the proposed ending of Covid restrictions, including end of need to self-isolate even if testing positive!?

I think its daft - my friends parents both have tested positive recently and even though they have both been double jabbed and boosted, they are quite poorly.

All the people I work with wear masks and will continue to do so, and I think it helps and more people should continue

I think it’s absolute madness, we might as well just not bother with anything then , let’s just stop everything , the face masks , extra hygiene etc. Boris is bonkers if you ask me. I’ll still be following all the necessary precautions….why ? Because my health matters.

Well I’m positive at the moment but it’s been like having a cold. My wife and I got it at the same time and she’s had it slightly worse than me. We had 3 out of 4 kids off with it a couple of days ahead of us, so chances are we got it from them.

For most of the population, it’ll be no worse than a cold if they’ve had their vaccines. Sorry, but I have no sympathy for the anti-vaxxers - to me unless they are medically exempt, they’re collateral damage. They’ve done untold damage to others and cost the NHS a heavy toll with their ill-informed arrogance. We now have a clinical trial of billions of people that suggests it is safe to use.

Boris trying to win favour to cover his backside from the Partygate issue. Still think it’s too early to lift all restrictions.

Hi, I cant believe we are allowed to roam the streets whilst having a potentially deadly infection!

Crazy!

Personally, I prefer to wait and see what science has to say, before trusting the word of a congenital liar.

I probably wouldn’t be so concerned if I thought I could trust others to respect my immunosuppression and personal space.
Too many ignorant idiots out there unfortunately.

I think they are crazy to end Covid restrictions. They had been dropped to a level where they were not that onerous anyway.

I’ll be continuing to wear a mask in indoor locations where there are other people, and if I know that I may potentially be coming into contact with vulnerable people will still do a LFT beforehand.

I’m going to stock up a little on LFT tests as I wouldn’t be surprised if the free ones will be stopped soon.

Good point!

its no worse than a cold for most of us that have had NO vaccines either, and beore you preach i am not an anti vaxxer i chose not to have it as vaccines make me relapse in a big way,and i have just got over a big relapse and didnt want to risk another as i was laid up for a year, my partner is very pro vax and he had all 3 vaccinations and was more ill than i was and he passed it on to me too.I have natural immunity now through having covid and have been told more so thsn the vaccine.
