Hiya - following a bone density scan I have been told I have early onset osteoarthritis. Having MS for over 30 years this is devastating news!
I already have mobility issues and need to use a wheelchair.
Is anyone else in a similar predicament? Thanks
Sue x
Hi
Yes me as well as MS for over 30 years some 8 years ago was diagnosed with RA and OA for high I have methotrexate injections weekly.
Like you I use a wheelchair in home and outside but still trying to remain positive (but it doesn’t always work).
Take care

Hi Pam
Sorry to hear that you have a lot of issues too!
The fracture clinic mentioned a tablet I would be prescribed to help with the osteoarthritis. She said it was a weekly tablet that I would need to take on an empty stomach and with a glass of water. I couldn’t then eat for 1/2 to 1 hour!
Like you I try to keep positive but to be honest it’s impossible some days!
xx
It’s alendronic acid once weekly tablet, must be taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water. You must sit up in bed once taken .
Thanks Animali - I hope the side effects aren’t too bad? x
You’re welcome, none of the residents use to complain. Most of them use to take Adcal on the other 6 days which is a chewable vitamin D3 tablet. Hope you get on ok with the tablet. X
