Drop foot Support - fashion advice!!

Hello!

I’ve just been to an appointment with a neurophysio, they have now given me a Boxia angle brace which I can feel is going to be helpful! But… how can I wear this without feeling like I’m wearing a criminal ankle tag!! I usually wear skinny jeans and boots but it’s evident after today that this isn’t going to work! The guy did say trainers would be better.

Anyone else where one of these and have any fashion advice?

Hi Susie, I have FES, which runs from electro pads on my lower right leg, connecting to a unit. I don’t wear jeans any more, but dresses/tights/Dr Marten boots. After some trial an error, I run the wire from the pads up and over the top of my tights, down the leg to the boot and clip the unit there. Can you run the wire up the leg, over the top of your jeans and attach the unit to a pocket? x

Getting assessed for FES is worth considering, but sadly, I can’t claim to know how this will look with skinny jeans. I guess any solution is likely to involve a bit of compromise.
