Do I have MS

Happy New Year to everybody. What a great forum!

so I’ll keep it as brief as I can. Over seven years of neck and bone issues especially thoracic and cervical spine. Recently severe lethargy, body pins and needles, tingling, confusion, inflammation, numbness in the soles of my feet, difficulty urinating as if I have to really think about it! The numbness in the feet is not very nice. Severe neck and upper back pain. Feels like my body is in one of those heavy metal diving suits. Anxiety, extreme fatigue, muscle weakness, muscle pain. The doctor I see has mentioned that it could be along with spinal issues, CF or possibly MS. I am feeling it might be MS. If anybody has any advice that would be greatly appreciated. Bit of a scary place to be as I cannot do what I used to and struggle through the day, neck brace, cannot sit for long periods, anxiety stress etc. I don’t think many people understand unseen conditions and symptoms. Frustration with GP.

Hi Tammy

It is horrible having an invisible illness.

I would push myself to carry on as normal until I learned the hard way that normal was no longer a feature in my life.

MS is notoriously difficult to diagnose.

your neuro must rule out possible causes.

The MS Trust has loads of information and may be of use.

My GP during my diagnosis was wonderful. Unfortunately he moved to another practice.

Have you seen other doctors at your GP practice?

Some are easier to talk to than others.
