DMT experiences?

Now that I’ve finished breastfeeding and procreating I’ve decided to start with DMTs.
I was given a choice of copaxone, Tecfedera, Aubagio, Plegridgy and Avonex.

My initial thoughts were that since Tecfedera is the most effective of the ones offered to me I should do that and objectively seems the logical choice to hit MS as hard as possible.

In actuality I’m totally useless at taking pills at the same time everyday, whenever I’ve been on antibiotics I’ve missed a dose and have two under fives to run around after at meal times.

This led me to thinking that Anovex or Plegridy might be better to do when the kids have gone to bed once a week/fortnight and would be easier to get into a routine with.

Then I got cross at myself for being generally disorganised and that I should be grown up and make myself get into more of a routine!

Of course I also say that to myself about keeping on top of the laundry, last about a week then have a million tiny socks waiting to be washed!

Any advice? How have people found getting into medication routines with young children?

Hi, i can’t comment on managing meds with young kids, but being on a DMT is just another tool in your armoury to fight MS. I’d always recommend Tecfidera as my experience has been first class. Set alerts on ur phone, perhaps put reminder notes in strategic places about the house. Ask friends/family to text reminders. You’ll soon get into a routine. Considering the importance of taking the meds, it should always be on your mind.
