Disabled Railcards for MS sufferers

Great stuff Jo, sorry I was a little slow replying.

The railcard is also something that’s mentioned on this website (under travel by train).

I found they didn’t reply to me over email and I had to call them. Hopefully you’ll get your card soon. Don’t let them fob you off with 1 year, you are entitled to a 3 year card.

Cheers
Rich

No worries. I had some free time the other day and went ahead and applied. I figured nothing ventured, nothing gained  Got my 3 year digital railcard 2 days later. I didn’t have to speak to anyone, I just emailed. (See post above for more details.) Maybe the message is getting through to them!

Thanks
Jo

I’ve had my 3 year railcard approved too :+1: I did it over the phone after having emailed them a letter proving my diagnosis and had no problems at all! Just need to get back to the office now…

Thanks to all the advice on here I applied for the railcard two days ago. I just clicked on the first category (DLA I think it was) and when it asked me to upload proof of DLA allowance I just uploaded my letter stating my diagnosis. 36 hours later got an email saying my 3 year card is being issued and will be posted with 5 days. Very easy.

Hi @Hope33 and to everyone else that contributed in this thread. This is a great example of sharing information that if we didn’t so many of us would be in the dark. I’m still on my MS diagnosis journey, no pun intended  but knowing what is out there should I need it, so certainly helpful.
