Disabled bus pass and Blue Badge.

Hi Boblatina When I got my BB I did not have DLA-just couldn’t walk. My travel card is by GMPTE not the local authority, I gives me travel on buses nd metro link, but I can’t walk that far-nice thought. I just have to make sure I ont get stick stuck in tramlines… Can see headline DISABLED MAN TRYING TO DE-RAIL TRAM ha Mike:-)

Hi white spirit Do you have neuro diagnosis? If you have try local authority BB try them for travel pass to or first bus if you area Alo try access to work for poss taxi fare to Orkney Poly for dla-not means tested-difficult form if links for help needed pm me Mike

Hi everyone,

I have sent off my DLA form…so fingers crossed! I was just wondering how people got bus passes and a BB without a DLA award, did you get a GP letter to say you could not walk very far?

I’m maybe thinking of going down that route, as my walking is getting worse, my ankles are very stiff and painful, and my knee gives way without any warning…I’m not too bad around the house, but when I go out, it seems to be worse.

Thanks,

Wendyx

When I applied for and got my blue badge (before I applied for DLA) I put the name of my physio down on the form as someone they could contact, she was well aware of how far I could/couldn’t walk and how my mobility had been affected

I have had ms for 20years with my ms i do have trouble walking for long distances .
