Hello All, I am hoping for some advice please. I am waiting for nerve test and MRI. I have been told it could be pinched nerve or MS. I have a change in sensation to LHS foot/calf , numbness pins and needles, temperature odd! Same in toes on RHS. Push a few other odd going on…no fatigue to speak off or pain. I am thinking it is not ms as it gets worst when walk, does anyone know if ms gets worst when active? Liz xx I should have added, my neurologist testing shown no reflexes in my ankles or left knee…I thought with ms your relaxes are the opposite?
Before my MS Diagnosis, I was misdiagnosed for years with Spinal Stenosis. Worth looking into…?
Hello GCCK thank you so much for your reply. I have quick look at Spinal Stenois, and it may very well be that indeed. I am waiting for an mri so have promised myself no more Google! I shall wait, but again thank you.
You’ll still need an MRI! Lumbar and/or Cervical regions. While they are at it, they should scan your head to confirm/ eliminate MS
Hello GCCK
Indeed, I have had the following tests!
Nerve conduction tests - normal, this ruled out pinched nerve
Mri spine- shown high inflammation
Lumbar puncture- inconclusive
Mri contrast- spine and brain- shows lesions on brain
So many blood tests!
My neurologist has diagnosed MS, however has asked for more tests to rule out Lupus (1% chance) but she is very thorough.
I have been referred to the ms clinic, waiting the appointment, and she also directed me here, for excellent information and support.
My ‘results above’ are basic but you get idea!
