Crossing the county line.

Signed on with a new GP Surgery as my old one is closing soon. The new one is closer - but into the next county - Worcs. The new GP - very pleasant - no qualms over my Sativex prescription. Said it had far less side-effects then most of the meds that are prescribed. l said to him that l had 34yrs experience of PPMS - and was following Biotin for Progressive MS - and also Dr Coimbra’s Protocol on Vitamin D3 for Autoimmune diseases. l explained that l was following this myself until l could link up with a doctor trained by Coimbra. l did show him the blood tests l need to check on PTH-blood serum calcium etc. He agreed to get them all done. Vitamin D3 levels l have checked regularly by CityAssayLab B/ham.

A few weeks ago - l had a ‘neuro’ appointment. And he gave me a prescription for Clonazepam - which l did try for three nights - but l did not like feeling drugged all day. And l did not sleep at all. When l read up about them and saw how addictive they were and that they were for short term treatment only, l decided not to use them again. The new GP said he would not recommend them.

l did show him the book Multiple Sclerosis and lots of Vitamin D by Ana Claudia Domene - who is also on the facebook group

Free lndeed Vitamin D3 Protocol. l am hoping he might be curious and look into it - but l know how ‘shackled’ our GP’s are by the NHS chains.

Well done Frances for getting your new GP sorted and being able to keep the same meds.

Hello SJ.

Just the term crossing the county line gives me an impression of small town hicksville America. I’m almost tempted to shout yee hah. I live on the edge too. The edge of Kent and East Sussex that is. Well done for being brave enough to change your GP. I’ve been lucky with GPs but I’m subject to a rather indolent neurologist who operates on the other side in Kent. It doesn’t really matter because the new flagship hospital is a maze of corridors with big heavy doors. I couldn’t get there if I tried.

Best wishes, Steve. (Keep on tramping)
