I’m really frightened I could have MS. About 4 weeks ago I started with a muscle twitch in my left elbow and forearm and it’s still there. I’m also getting intermittent pain in the joint. I was walking to work the other day and the side of my thumb went slightly numb for about 30 mins. I get occasional pain behind my eyes and sometimes my vision seems a little off. At the beginning of this year I had a twitch in my right eyelid which lasted for about 6 weeks and I do get occasional muscle twitches throughout my body - some of which you can visibly see the muscle jump. I also went through a few weeks earlier in the year of feeling slightly lightheaded. I’m worried it could be the early symptoms of MS thanks to Dr Google and have got myself so worked up I can’t sleep and am in a constant state of panic. Does it sound like MS??
I don’t know if it’s worth mentioning I also get frequent sharp ice pick headaches - normally in the left side of my head
Hi Kirsty21,
If you’re worried then write all your symptoms down with dates of when they started and stopped and go and see your Dr. If Dr is concerned they will refer you to a neurologist.
Could be anything, not necessarily MS - Dr Google (great name) can be scary.
MS has such a wide range of symptoms but to properly diagnose MS you have to have an MRI scan and sometimes a lumbar puncture, can take months/years.
Try not to worry. Just go and see the Dr.
