Fair comment jactac. But. How many people will not socialise with family etc. That is what has to stop. All the socialising.

Panic buying to the extreme.

My wife was just down our local Home Bargains and a fella waiting at the till asked the lady on the till how many packs of toilet rolls he could purchase, she replied “take what you want”, so he bloody well did, 5 packs of 18 rolls !!!

Totally agree Anne.

I cant self isolate for 12 week i have a daughter whos ill and a non verbal autistic grandchild they both need our support.so all i can do is keep my distance as much as possible.

I think I’ve got the measure of it now. It’s a form of viral pneumonia, pneumonia is treated with antibiotics, antibiotics don’t work on viruses, so if anyone catches it and your body can’t fight the virus there’s bu**er all they can treat you with.

nobody who is not experiencing symptoms is being asked to self isolate, if you have any symptoms you should self isolate for 7 days during which you can be tested, if you test positive you self isolate for a further 7 days.

EVERYONE is being asked to socially distance themselves, work from home if possible, no going out on the razz, no going out unnecessarily, and wash your hands, vulnerable people are being told to do the same but more. Very helpful!

stay well all.

actually I did get this slightly wrong, anyone who has symptoms will not be tested, only those taken to hospital will be tested. So we don’t know the real numbers because most won’t even know they have it or have had it.

Hi DDD

Your last paragraph.

This is why the percentages are a nonsense. I believe there are thousands more infected who have it mild, and with the death rate at 144 it would make a nonsene to the percentage. if that makes sense lol. It would be much lower.

i think ALL NSH staff anyone in prime positions care workers, palliative etc, if they go off sick with sniffles etc they should be tested. if negative then they can go back to work.

My son in law is in palliative care 12 staff have gone off sick with snotty noses. he is going to die of overwork. He had 25 customers to deal with two days ago and worked from 6am until 12am he has done this several times.

have a snotty nose does not necessarily mean its covid there are cold viruses doing the rounds.

one girl didnt even have a temperature.

its mad all of it. now the sprogs are let loose on the public, running around already in our park screaming and shouting, you can hear some of them coughing. the kids were kept awya from adults at school, now they are mingling in with them. our town has had no cases, so i am now waiting to see if we get any.

stay safe, i dont think the virus will get us but the stress will i still cant get a slot on line yet have shopped for years with tesco.

Hi Crazy Chick,

you and I seem to be singing from the same song sheet, we are not being fully informed about what we should be looking for in terms of symptoms, if you get any or any combination of the known symptoms you may have it so even if your only symptom is a mild dry cough you might have it. So even if you were to take your temperature three times a day and find it normal but have a little bit of a cough well who knows, we wouldn’t.

incidentally I have been looking for the last 10 days on a daily basis for a delivery slot with Sainsbury’s and there is nothing available and has not been even three weeks ahead and no way of knowing when the next delivery slots will be made available. They have also announced that from Monday the 23rd they will reserving delivery slots for those who are self isolating, vulnerable or over 70, and have been working to identify those customers, how is this possible? Other than those over 70 I don’t feel that they could possibly identify anybody as this information is not provided by their customers when they sign up for home delivery services and cannot be provided by any other services including the NHS or anybody else because of the data protection act.

I am not a great conspiracy theorist under normal circumstances and laugh at some of the silly theories that go around. But it is now my belief that in conjunction with HM government supermarkets were requested to suspend home deliveries! I have been asking people if they have seen in the streets any small supermarket Home delivery vans? and the answer has been generally no.

Sainsbury’s have also decided that from Monday the 23rd they will be reserving one hour timeslot in store for elderly, vulnerable, NHS workers and social care staff! Brilliant idea put the vulnerable, the elderly and people who work with the elderly and vulnerable into stores with people who are working with people with COVID-19 and see what happens! Whatever happened to joined Up thinking!

I cant believe they are expecting the NHS workers and the vulnerable to shop together. What planet are these people on exactly.I have shopped for years with Tesco and morrisons but i cant get any slots now at all its not fair that u are a loyal customer for years then u can’t get one.It needs sorting but doubt it will be.

When this virus spreads even more rapidly amongst the vulnerable and elderly we know who to blame THE SUPERMARKETS.

There’s no such thing as loyalty from business anymore they only care about getting new customers money off them!

Yes it clearly states that is with MS are in the at risk catagory but it doesn’t state that we should self isolate for 12 weeks. It clearly states that those in the at risk group should stringently adhere to social distancing which is not the same as self isolating. I have been in contact with my nurse who said I am perfectly ok to go to work still but to be sensible and limit unnecessary contact where possible. There are plans afoot to contact those most at risk (which may or may not include ms) in the coming days where the gov will be advising ppl to stay home for 12 weeks

Having said that I have myself been self isolating due to having symptoms of the virus and I am awaiting test results.

but douglas87 MS is on the list now from NHS.

Oh i hope you dont have it, where have you been to get it this is the thing.

where i live an 80 year has died of it allegedgely he was being cared for in our local hospital and was tested as he had long term condition for covid and it came back positive, so he has died but did he die of it or WITH IT, there is a huge difference and where the hell did he get it from as according to our figures there are only 22 confirmed cases.

its all bogus. I think the NHS hospitals and staff are carrying petri dishes of covid. several older have died in hospital with long term illness no connection to covid the only thing is they are in hospital.

My friend has seen nurses going into the hospitals with THEIR UNIFORMS on.

but MS is on the list as are all neurological diseases. xx

thought this might cheer you up. the fox had been eating the hedgehog food so i bought fox food for the fox.

the revenge of the hogs, lol. they are eating all the fox food now lol.

(which is cheaper).

little hog trying to get fox food in the dish lol. so cute.

you got to have friends.

two hogs little and large.

mucky hogs.

enjoy. x

Yes MS is on the ‘at risk’ list but none of these groups (yet) are being told they need to self isolate for 12weeks. They are all being told to comply stringently with the social distancing protocol. We may very soon receive letters or texts to say we need to stay at home for 12 weeks but there is not advice yet to do yhis
