Hey, newly diagnosed (4 days ago). I’m in need of advice on how to handle (if possible) some of the symptoms I am experiencing. 1) sensation that something is touching my face and pain even if a hair even slightly touches my face, 2) The sensation that my trousers are damp on lower part of my leg and 3) Maybe just me but when I try to concentrate my brain aches.
After discussing with my neurologist we’ve worked out that I’ve been experiencing different MS related issues for approximately 15 years so I’ve already resigned myself to the fact that I’m never going to get full feeling back in my fingers and toes.
No practical advice for you. Mine comes and goes, so hopefully yours will go away before too long.
I didn’t have pain in my face, but I spent months with the sensation that there were loose hairs on my belly and/or back. I’d try to brush them off, they’d still be there, and it took the longest time to figure out that it was just part of my stupid MS.
I did go through a spell some years ago when I couldn’t stand the weight of anything on my skin. Just wearing clothes was very uncomfortable, I couldn’t use heavy blankets, and I stopped wearing all jewelry.
On achy-brain days, just do your best to rest.
I had the invisible flea or spider running across my face. it got so bad, i had a mirror by me if i could feel it i would check NOTHING. the damp around legs too. Over the years i have ignored them. it is what it is part of a sensory issue with MS, but more irritating then worrying. xxx
Hello, the first thing to say is four days isn’t long but I am sure you have tried to read everything and felt that the world is falling around you.
My symptoms come and go and with luck yours will as well. Fingers crossed in a few days things will improve.
Keep positive!!
Thanks, in hindsight (which is a great thing) I’ve been experiencing issues for over 15 years. Just had rubbish GP’s. It’s really been the last 18 months that have been rough.
