Does anyone out there suffer with constant headaches? I do get these with eye pain too however not all of the time, sometimes it feels like I have my head in a vice, pain either side.
I would like to know if anyone suffers the same or similar symptoms?
Hi, I have alot of head pain including headaches on my right side and close to my right eye. Get very sore spots on my scalp at the top and on the right side, normally along with a sore neck and shoulders. This is normally present when having other neuro problems. The head pain is so intense I can’t wash my hair, let anyone touch my head or put any heat i.e a hairdrier anywhere near it.
I’m not dx yet, due to have MRI on 10 Nov, hope this helps.
Yes, I suffer constant headaches, mainly on my right side, but sometimes it feels like something is tightening around my head and it’s going to explode. I take Amitriptylene for them, which really helps.
yep i get pains in both temples and behind both eyes mainly on my left feels like someone is stabbing me with a needle, i take 50mg of amitripaline daily but they dont seem to help with my pain but it stopped the pins and needles i was having.
I’m not diagnosed been having this pain on off since june
Hello and thanks for your posts, I know a fair bit about Amitryptilyn as I had them some time ago
they were originally used for children for bed wetting, however they also found that they were good for some pain, personally I take Tramadol, this is the only thing that touches the pain, however Tramadol can be addictive
I found Amitryptilyn used to dry my mouth out, they can also be used for some anxiety in people with insomnia , are headaches part of the MS symptoms?
If tramadol is helping your pain, I would guess that it is a form of headache rather than neuropathic pain.
Migraine is normally one-sided, but can occur on both sides and that vice-like pain is pretty typical. Eye pain also occurs with migraine. I’m speaking from experience here - I get exactly what you’ve described and it’s been diagnosed as migraine.
So I reckon that you need to see a headache specialist neuro asap so please nag your GP for a referral.
