Confused

New diagnosis and before diagnosis

Hi there,

im hoping some one here might be able to help me. I’ve had on and off for the past 5 years lots of Ms symptoms, optic neuritis x 3 numbness, pins and needles, loss of vision and more recently facial pins and needles. I am under the care of queens square neurology hospital. My consultant says satistically I have MS but MRIs show no lesions so far! I’m 45, do you have to have lesions on MRI for it to be diagnosed MS?

Hi, I think you do. I had 4 MRIs, 2LPs, 2 EMGs and a VEP, plus oodles of blood tests.

Even though I presented as typical PPMS, the neuros had no proof on tests.

Have you had any mobility problems?
