coming off Tysabri

I can’t remember the name of the new tablet that was recently approved by NICE but My neurologist and MS nurses are working with me to move onto using these instead of Tysabri.

Has anyone made this change? I am interested in your experiences or comments.

thank you

Lucy

a lot of people have been given it recently, including me!

thank you for your reply, it could be, if that’s the one where the tablet is taken twice a day.

Have you started it yet?

Lucy x

yes i started tecfidera last week and i havent had any side effects . my ms nurse advised me to stock up on baby aspirin and immodium.

i take the baby aspirin to stop the flushing but havent needed the immodium.

it feels so good to not be injecting my copaxone!

good luck

Well done, glad it’s good going well for you so far. Good luck with this, I remember how good it felt not to have to inject any more (I was on Rebif, before I was put on Tysabri).

I’m waiting for appointment to check to see if I can get started. It’ll mean I won’t have to go to hospital for an infusion every four weeks.
