I am just going to celebrate my colostomy second birthday. I had suffered for years with bowel problems and eventually was offered a stoma . Heather has been marvellous looking after me and cleaning up my mess. And the ideas of a stoma whilst scary did seem a step forward to stop the mess.
I went in during Covid and received marvellous care, the operation was a breeze and recovery a few. Days. It has bee been great and Heather changes it no problem.
So anyone out there scared of a stoma I have one and it’s made our lives much better.
