Clinically not MS?

Hi everyone,

Been to see my neurlogist and although the MRI scan shows I have scars on the bran in the right places when clinically examined I am not showing any signs of MS!!

I have been told by the neuro that MS does not cause hearing loss but I thought it could?

I am going back for a contrast mri scan to see if there is any change? But he said I do not have MS, which is excellent news but now want to know what is wrong with me??

Wait and see what the second MRI shows up, then if you’re not happy, get a second opinion. Those scars are there from something, and you need to know what!

I think the clinical diagnosis is only given when you have had a second attack within a short period of time. The day I was diagnosed the Neuro said that radiologically I had MS from the MRI scans showing lesions however she would not have confirmed diagnosis at that point unless I had symptoms caused by the lesions. At the time of the appointment I could barely walk so she confirmed MS.

Hope that makes sense,

Ruth
