Clinical Nurse Specialist

New diagnosis and before diagnosis

Hi everyone!

i had an MRI 2 weeks ago and a neuro appointment booked for this Thursday. Today Ive received a new appointment saying:

We have received your results and have rescheduled your appointment to see the clinical nurse specialist

The appointment is a week later than the previous but I wondered if this is a good or bad thing?

Surely if it was bad results I would see the specialist?

the clinical nurse specialist is probably an ms nurse.

after i was diagnosed i never saw my consultant again, his ms nurses keep a check on me.

my consultant got me started on a DMT and that was it.

so in my opinion your neuro should see you to get you onto a DMT if you have been diagnosed.

you only have a week to wait.

try not to worry too much.

i haven’t been diagnosed yet, the consultant said although there is right sided weakness 4 months on from my episode she didn’t think it was ms but wanted to check!

i know only a week im holding out hope all is fine!
