36 Shopping days to go! Stay chilled, plenty of time. May get my Christmas cards out of the carrier bag today. One Christmas, I decided not to bother sending Christmas cards. I must admit, it was a relief not to have to sit writing them all. The guilt, when we received ours was too much to cope with, I could never do it again…well maybe!!!
Well, my 7"" WiFi tablet is up and running and just getting used to it. No smilies though not sure if I can copy and paste but will keep playing and learning
Going out with a friend today. She wants to go to Driffield, which is a lovely small market town near where we live. I’m only going because I know I’ll get tea and cake lol

I didn’t send any cards one year either. Not through choice - that was the year I had my first ever symptoms and I could only manage spider scrawl that no-one would’ve been able to read . I think I lost a couple of old friends that year, ones that live a long way away and probably thought I had forgotten them. I couldn’t bring myself to write and tell them what had happened because they were old work colleagues that I hadn’t seen for years so I could hardly write to them out of the blue with bad news. There was a lighter side to that year as I also sounded as if I had been hitting the booze several weeks early …
That Christmas makes me more determined than ever to enjoy all my future Christmases as it proved how we should never take things for granted.
