Can anyone provide advice on the best type of car or utility vehicle to buy for a mobility scooter. I am quite limited physically and so would have to get a lift put in to get the mobility ty scooter in and out of any vehicle. I also plan on Getting a decent sized mobility scooter rather than the ones that you can break down as I’m trying to maintain my independence and can’t use those ones. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you
We went for a citroen berlingo lovely car and masses of room for the family.
We have a boost fitted in the boot to lift my Mobility scooter in and out.
The car is perfect can take our family of five plus my scooter and still have room for shopping.
I would definitely recommend…

Being a bear of small brain, I would find the mobility scooter that works best for you. If possible find a supplier who has many models, hopefully they have a showroom and test area or some will come to your house with a selection. (BEWARE of slippery sales types) This is a big deal and you Need to get it right. Where will you most frequently use it. I recently learned just how uneven and lumpy my local pavements are because I chose the wrong scooter and had to swap it with another. Once you are happy with your scooter then you can work out the best motor vehicle. I am happy to supply names and opinions via a message! The moderators don’t like adverty stuff in threads. You should also be able to get impartial info from Motability, but the important thing is to work out your own criteria e.g. Must have / Nice to have / don’t give a damn
