Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any pointers for driving assistance, such as modifications or maybe a car loan?
I have foot drop on my left foot, which is affecting the use of the clutch pedal, so I am currently unable to drive (who knows, maybe that will change in the future). My aunt mentioned something called ‘Motability’ and have also seen online that you can get the clutch pedal modified in your car.
Just wondered if anyone had any experience with driving with MS, and what help is out there.
Thank you
I have left foot drop and simply changed to driving an automatic, so didn’t need any adaptions.
Motability is a great scheme, but you need be on PIP at the higher rate in order to qualify.

The best solution to foot drop I have found is the ingenious FES and your GP can refer you for assessment.

Hi, same as whammels post, changed to an automatic, left leg and foot issues and it was too difficult to use a clutch safely any more.
Also going for a hospital test with FES to see if it would work before being transferred to a very long waiting list on the service that issue them.
Had to fund car myself though as not on PIP.
