Do you mean Steve Snore?
I used to love his posts/blogs.
Nope haven’t seen any posts from him in ages.
Hope he’s ok, if possible in Barbados or somewhere nice.
Sadly I don’t think Barbados was a destination in mind and I am extremely concerned. Steve had moved into sheltered accommodation I believe. Despite installing a new kitchen etc, I don’t think it was a place of joy for him.
Having had prostate surgery, colon cancer was detected. Having kept us up to date with his grueling weeks of radiotherapy, then chemotherapy then infections, he was exhausted but relieved to be back home. Some weeks later he was off to a care home for treatment and care of his pressure sores. After five weeks of boot camp, as he called it, he was on the forum enquiring about shower chairs. Not a word since.
it is a huge worry when one of us is missing.
especially after Anthony.
I have given our land line number to Sssue in case I go missing.
He loves cooking so a new kitchen is very appropriate.
Sending waves of good wishes through the ether.
Hope you are ok Poppy xx
Poor Steve i think we are all fearing the worst. I hope we are wrong but somehow i don’t think we are going to be.
Steve has been in my mind quite a lot over the last few months. Each time someone asks where he is, I worry!
Today for the first time I remembered the name he used on his blog (typed into Google: McChrystalise and blog) found it. The last time he updated his blog was 24th April 2020.
Oh it does make me fear the worst. Cancer is a fearsome beast. I can hardly bear to think that it might have snatched another of our fearless PPMS warriors this year.
I do hope not. I read his blog so often, admiring his writing, loving his journeys and his food. Omg, he is/was a cook. I made one of his lamb curries once. It was fabulous.
If he’s still able to read this forum, even if it’s not possible to reply, thank you Steve for your indomitable spirit. And your wonderful writing.
Sue
I’ve done some research too Sue. Nothing new. I feel if he hasn’t succumbed to the cancer, sepsis might be the spectre in the wings. I didn’t like the sound of his need to reside in the care home for five weeks to treat them. Then of course there’s this damn covid…
I’m really hoping you pop up sometime soon Steve and give us all a good telling off! X
