Here’s another question for ya’ll: Have any of you a sore/ sensitive/ burning scalp since DX??
I used to color, bleach, do ALL sorts of crazy stuff with my hair!! When all of my symptoms started, the first thing I noticed was I could hardly TOUCH my scalp it hurt SO bad! Couldn’t brush or blow dry my hair without pain!!! Anyone else since being diagnosed?? Thanks again =)))

Hi, I have on occasions had a very hypersensitive scalp, unbareable to touch. Had my hair cut into a bob, from being long. Don’t
generally colour it now and let it dry naturally. Only occasionally use the straighteners on it as the heat makes it much worse. I
normally have a tingling in my forehead and middle of face, tougue and chin. Warm water hurts, brushing hurts but pain goes after
about a week, have had this alot though, seems to apear in patches on my right side or at the front middle…
Have now arranged with hairdresser, that if I can’t move my arms to my head and my scalp in sensitive, she will wash it and towel
dry for me, without an appointment, bless her. I haven’t yet been dx, am having my MRI on head and spine on 11 Nov, but wanted to
respond to your question, hope that’s ok…
Sounds like trigeminal neuralgia, it not only affects the face teeth ec,t but my scalp also making it sencitive to touch, going out in the wind and cold only makes it worse.
Speak to gp or ms nurse for advice,hope you get some releif from this i know how bad it can be.

Thanks so much ladies;) I thought possible Trigeminal Neuralgia too Barb! However I don’t get the “jolts” like most describe? I will def mention this. ALWAYS glad to know I’m not alone =) And good luck at your appointment Joannap!!

I get the odd head jolt as well, thought it was tiredness but never occurred to me that it might go with the pain of the scalp . I also get sore jaw, numb gums and teeth that feel like they are going to fall out. I go to the dentist every 3 months to get them scaled as I find it difficult to clean them properly, have had them x rayed but they found no problems. Thanks for that info metalhead75.
