Brian atrophy and MS

I had my brain volume measured and now everytime I see my GP he measures me on the GCS, when I asked my neurologist if I could be OK with all my problems he said oh yes I often see people who’s brains look like yours but the couple of examples he gave were both people in their 70’s and 80’s. I feel fine like there is mentally nothing wrong with me atm but I am so scared for the future. Does anyone know much about this subject at all? Thanks

The search facility on the Barts Blog has plenty of information.

Well, people worried about brain volume would be well-advised not to get MS, but we’ve all got MS, and there’s nothing to be done except manage it as best we can with effective DMDs (for those at that stage) and a healthy lifestyle at any stage - nutritious food, such exercise as we can manage, fresh air, cultivating ways of managing stress, building strong relationships, all that. Other than that, I just try not to dwell on it.
