I applied for a blue badge and as I do not get higher rate mobility I have to go for an assesment at the end of the month. Has anyone had on e of these, can you tell me what to expect? It says to take any letters/reports regarding your condition, I have a Nuero report which states he thinks I have MS. But in limbo at the moment and got follow up Nuero appt after blue badge assesment. I suffer from fatique, cognitive problems and have stiff heavy legs and some days struggle to walk, but not every day. Assesment is to be carried out by an OT. Any ideas/ experiences?
I had one 3 weeks ago…the nurse who did it was very friendly I was honest about my symptoms, spasticity and fatigue being the worst. I use a stick so getting in and out of my car in normal width car parking spaces is an issue. It took about 20 minutes and she told me there and then that my entitlement to a blue badge would be upheld. So not too much to be worried about…I was diagnosed in March.
