Best Voice Assist Smartphone

Hello All. My wife can barely move anything these days (Very advanced secondary progressive) and would benefit from a voice activated smartphone. We have Alexa set up but it won’t communicate with iPhones. So we wondered if anyone could recommend a not too pricey android smartphone that had google assist to enable her to text and call without using hands at all. Thanks

Hi Yanni
I think all Android phones have the Google Assistant. It’s Android’s equivalent of Siri.

For what it’s worth, we have several Motorola Moto series phones in our family. They’re well made and good value, being low-mid price point and scope within the range to go a bit higher or lower. Also, like other manufacturers, Moto put their own “skin” on top of the generic Android implementation and with Moto there are several accessibility options for display and navigation that could be useful to your wife.

Hi, most android phones either have a voice recognition built in or you can easily download an app from google play.

Recommend searching various models and reading up on their specs or going to an online seller and see if they provide write-ups about the models they sell. The medium and higher end models will have better features than the lower end ones. Well-known brands are also likely to be better supported than the lesser-known ones. Always worth shopping around.

Good luck with your search and hope this helps.
