I’ve been living with relapsing-remitting MS for quite some time now. I’ve learned just how important it is to find something that truly suits your body and lifestyle. I also checked numerous user reviews to understand both the pros and cons. I’m still in the research phase, and have a great day, and thanks.
Hi.
I can’t see beyond Tecfidera. I’ve been on it since diagnosis nearly 8 years ago. Been relapse free since then with NEIDA on every annual MRI and 0 EDSS score. Easy to take tablets twice a day. Very Occasional flushes now and then, I don’t even take them with food 100% of the time either. Bloods every 12 weeks have been fine too.
I guess you’ll hear different stories about a variety of DMTs on here that work well for that particular individual. Everyone’s journey is different.
Good luck whatever your decision.
Retro.
Hi Retro,
That’s honestly really encouraging to hear. Being relapse-free for nearly 8 years with stable MRIs and a 0 EDSS is pretty much the ideal outcome, so it sounds like Tecfidera has been a great fit for you. It’s also reassuring that your side effects have stayed minimal and manageable over time, especially since flushing can be a concern for a lot of people starting out. The fact that your bloodwork has stayed stable too is a big plus.I completely agree with you DMTs really seem to be a very individual journey. What works perfectly for one person might not be the same for someone else, so it’s always helpful to hear real experiences like yours. Thanks for sharing, and wishing you continued stability going forward!(removed by moderator)
