I had an interview today for till staff at M&S and got the job, I start next week
It is only temporary over the busy Christmas and I have worked there for the past 2 Christmases and love it I just wish they could keep me on after Christmas and hate having to leave. The managers also say that they wish they could keep me on but they simply don’t have the shifts available.

I was stopped from bidding on properties for the last 2 weeks so couldn’t do anything but apparently it has been fixed now will just have to hope there are some suitable bungalows I can bid on on Thursday and will find out if I am sucessful the following week, fingers and toes crossed

I’m a big fan of M&S, but that place at Christmas sends me into a panic - and that’s as a customer, who can retreat when it gets too much. I can’t imagine ever working in retail at Christmas: I think I’d have a nervous breakdown.
It just shows one man’s (or woman’s) meat is another’s poison. I’m glad you like it, and I’m sure they’re an excellent employer.

They are an amazing employer, so kind thoughtful and considerate, I also love their general company ethos and aim to recycle everything by sending 0% waste to landfill, even staff uniforms are made from recyled plastic bottles.
Yes it can get quite chaotic in ther close to Christmas and I have often thought Iam glad I am on this side of the till when I look out and see ques all the way down the till isle and half way into the shop.
But it’s great fun managers, staff and customers are nice and I never used to shop there until I worked there and saw all the nice things coming through the till
I hope you sell loads of stuff! I also happen to be a shareholder, as well as a loyal customer, so it pleases me when they do well.
Well done you for getting a seasonal job again.
M&S staff are ALWAYS so helpful and kind.

Thanks Pat, yeah the girls reallty like me too and say I have a good rapport with the customers, ask them everything that they ask me to ask the customers and are sorry that they have to let me go after Christmas saying that I shiould be watching over staff telling them what to do lol
Yeah I too am hoping that some suitable properties show up tomorrow, fingers crossed and wouldn’t that be a nice early Christmas present I have been a very good boy this year maybe Santa will get me something nice
