I have been on Avonex for about 5 years and no relapses, but I have now had 3 lots of Optic Neuritis in 6 months, MRI shows more lesions. So Consultant is recommending Gilenya.
I would love to hear from anyone that takes it, have you had any problems with side effects etc?

I’ve been on Gilenya for 2 months now and I haven’t had any side effects at all. I’m due to have my eyes checked in February so hopefully that won’t show up anything but I haven’t noticed any vision problems.
I had previously been on Rebif for 4 years and was relapse free for most of that time until I had 2 relapses within 3 months last year affecting mobility. My consultant gave me a few options but we both agreed Gilenya would be the best choice for me. It took a while to conclude all the tests before I could get started on it but I have to say I really don’t miss self injecting.
