This oral drug seems to have been approved in last month in US i think for use as DMD in MS…

My neuro is wanting to put me on this as part of the drug companies Product Familarisation Programme while I wait for BG12 to come out next year. I am fairly underwhemed by it. It only has the efficacy of Rebif which compared with the other new orals isn’t very good and some of the side effects are a bit dismal too.
I am planning to talk her out of it and hang out for next year and to go staright onto BG12 instead.

I saw DB my ms nurse (don’t know if you have her) on Fri and she was very hopeful that BG12 would be in the mix next yr.
She did mention another one,but she couldn’t remember the name of that one,but it was also oral.
I would still of thought your Tysabri was a better option than either of those though. Is there a problem with it?
I’m really hoping BG12 does get the go ahead as unlike the others I wouldn’t have to try Avonex/rebif first. You can go straight from copaxone onto them both.
