…and I have PPMS. Used to teach humanities and PE, guess I’d struggle now with the PE.
Not sure whether to tell at job interview about MS? And, to be honest, I really don’t know how it would affect me as a teacher, knowing the physical and mental demands of the job.
So any advice on this matter, especially from serving teachers with MS or someone that knows one, would be much appreciated.
Hi - I just saw your post - I know it was a while ago since you shared this. Are you teaching now?
I am a teacher / lecturer and was diagnosed in 2017. I am trying to remain teaching now albeit only supply teaching as my mobility is becoming an in issue. In terms of letting your employer know, I found that honest is the best policy and in fact, it did me favours by letting people know as they were more understanding than I anticipated. I am sure that you have since found this out yourself. I am interested though in your journey if you have a spare moment to share x
