After going to the Neurologist...

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well! I am Andressa, I’m 30, it is a pleasure to meet you and see what a great family you are. I’ll try to summarize what I went through in those days: In February I was at A&E after feeling several symptoms related to MS, after several tests and an MRI I was informed that there was inflammation in the neck region and that everything indicated that it could be MS, I went home and after a few days they scheduled my second MRI to check if there was a history of other inflammations and soon after they scheduled an appointment with the Neurologist, I was very happy that I didn’t have to wait too long. The Neurologist told me that everything was fine in my MRI and because there was no history of other inflammations the diagnosis is not MS and that in the future another inflammation may occur or it may never happen again (I’m summarizing, but she explained in detail). She said that there was no need for any treatment because I’m feeling better now and the treatment may be evasive. She gave me the option of having a Lumbar Pulse or not, and said that if I did it would only be to predict if this inflammation could happen in the future. again, it wouldn’t be essential, I could choose, I was happy with the result of my MRI, I’m aware that this can happen again, but I’m at peace! Reading everyone’s testimonials here did me good, because I understood better what’s going on! Sometimes I wonder if I made a good choice regarding the lumbar puncture, if anyone has any advice to give me, or had a similar experience, I’ll be here to read it! Thank you very much everyone, you are special!:sunflower:

I only had a lumbar puncture to confirm what was already a more-or-less secure diagnosis based on clinical history over time and MRI. If an LP isn’t potentially going to do that for you (as your neurologist explained that in your case it wouldn’t) then it sounds like you made a good choice.

I hope that this blip in your health turns out to be a one-off and that you can put this episode in the past. If something else strange does happen (and I hope it doesn’t) then you can get back on the trail of finding out what’s going on.

Hello @Alison100 ,yes I hope I get better soon! Today I felt a little weak in my arm, and nerve pain in my head, but I managed to work and that makes me happy! Thank you very much for your words, I hope you are well!!!:sunflower:
