Hi, i was diagnosed with ms last christmas after having pins & needles in my legs for nearly a year, since being diagnosed i guess ive been lucky as far as symtoms go, i have noticed tiredness…alot. ive had a few episodes which ive rode through but im unsure as to what is caused by my ms and what could possibly be something else. recently ive had aching in my ankle bones, similar to when you haveal flu & your bones ache & sounds daft but almost a buzzing sensation. can anyone advise me please as im clueless & have found my neurologist not so helpful. thank you
Hi There
I can give you some advice on the buzzing sensation as I experience this frequently. Gabapentin seems to calm it down but every now and then it rears it’s ugly head again! It doesn’t really cause me pain rather more of an annoyance really and it makes me feel gittery if that’s the correct term?

hi louanda
i once described how i was feeling (before diagnosis) as my legs are buzzing and burning and my knees bend the wrong way.
do you get the burning sensation too?
my knees were hyper extending and luckily dont do that any more.

Thanks mary x hi carole, it could be described as ‘hot’ its got worse today, painful almost, ive had this sensation on & off for a few weeks now. i feel silly as even though i was diagnosed over a year a go its still very new to me what is caused by the ms or even if im being paranoid about some things. all my neurologist says these things could possibly be the ms or something else, what the something else is i dont know! I had a very scary episode a couple months ago where my right leg seemed to have a mind of its own? Only lasted approx 24hrs but was shaking violently like i was resting on a nerve…same response from neurologist! Lou x
