A little humour

A friend shared this on Facebook and I thought it was worth sharing here. Humour is my coping strategy

Things that only someone with MS would understand

Have a good weekend everyone

Oh, I laughed at several of those!

I particular liked the one about the finger-to-nose test possibly being a practical joke, and also the supermarket aisles getting narrower. When in the supermarket, I feel almost magnetically attracted to large displays containing breakables, such as china, or bottles of wine, and feel as if Iā€™m going to plunge into them. And the thought: ā€œWhatever I do, I mustnā€™t trip into that!ā€ seems to actually increase the chances of it happening!

Right now, the one where the urgency to wee is increased the nearer you get to a bathroom is very relevant! I find myself saying 'Whoa, hold on just a few more seconds!". Even before the current bladder problems, I would often be fumbling with my buttons and/or zip and worrying that I wasnā€™t gonna make it ā€¦

Brilliant, thanks for posting very funny, at least we can laugh at ourselves!

Excellent, laughed at a lot of them.

I love the one to do with having a shower and the name tagsā€¦Iā€™m terrible at remembering names.

The cutting toenails oneā€¦that is so me.

Brilliant, the finger and nose test, gait, injection sites and name tags, thatā€™s me to a t!

Hi Elmo. Thanks for posting this. Provided me with some definite chuckle moments.

Personally, No.13 resonated with me. I have parked my car at the supermarket on several occasions, gone inside to do my shopping and exited having forgotten where I had parked the car.

Itā€™s not easy trying to remain ā€˜super coolā€™ whilst deep inside youā€™re thinking, " Where the hell did I park the car?".

Of course, the correct strategy is to park in the same place every time. Lesson learnt.

Best wishes
