1st ride out on my bike didnt go as well as I expected :-(

The sun was shining so I thought I’d give it a go. Had a lovely ride, although much slower than last year, but I managed 12 miles to Stratford upon Avon with my OH pushing me on. The trouble was coming back. I made it half way but couldnt find it in me to push on :frowning: since last year my walking has deteriorated so perhaps that was the reason. I’ll have to practise on my exercise bike, which I hate, or perhaps shorter rides out to build up my stamina. Fingers crossed its not down hill from here, although that would be easy on a bike  Feeling fustrated!

Well done you for effort. Maybe next time, plan a shorter route. better t o do more short runs, than over exert yourself and arrive home totally knackered.

12 miles! Not sure what you could do before but that’s a great distance  Maybe do a 6 mile trip next time, so you know you’ll be able to ace it xx

You could get an electric bike/trike and have the security of being able to flick a switch if fatigue sets in.

hey, you managed 12 miles to Stratford - brilliant! It’s been a long winter - of course you can’t expect more, any non Ms person would find it hard to come back…!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I am pleased I managed about 18 mile before I ground to a halt…Unfortunately, an electric bike is out of the question at the moment as I only brought my new bike last year, after I left my old bike in Paris, following an exciting cycling holiday to Paris to watch my daughter in the World Rope Skipping Championships. I hope things pick up. Ive been on Tecfidera since November but I feel my walking is slowly getting worse. I see my MS nurse at the end of April for my 3 monthly blood test. Last results were a bit low for my liking 0.54 if I remember rightly :frowning:

Rope World Skipping Championships? Not heard of that. How did your girl do?
