Hey all,
I was diagnosed in 2014, when I was just about to start my life. I was 29, I had just started my degree and I was planning on finishing my degree by the age of 35 and leaving the job that I was in which I didn’t like. I had no qualifications so I went to the Open University to do a degree with them in environmental science because I wanted to go into conservation. Fast forward 11 years and I am now secondary progressive and in a wheelchair and I cannot work in conservation. I did the first 2 years of my degree and then MS dropped a bomb into my life. I decided that I would not finish my degree. Fast forward 5 years and my disability had progressed but I went back and I finished my degree, even though I knew that I’d never be able to get the job that I wanted. I now live alone on my pension from my job as I was retired from ill health and I get my pip and I just do nothing with my life. I’m 40 years old and I’m thinking of starting a website to discuss my MS and blog about things and I want to reach out to people that have just been diagnosed and afraid and tell them that actually you can achieve stuff if you persevere, even though it’s hard. Would anyone actually go to my site and read my blog posts? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there. As a 71 year old im probably not the best person to answer but it seems like a good and admirable thing to do. I’m also thinking that you could share your positive thinking and message on other sites/ places as well. Overcoming MS might well be interested - see link
