Why has the Barts MS Blogspot been suspended?

Does anyone know why this wonderful information resource is no longer being updated? I was hoping it would come back after the weekend but there’s still just a “suspended” notice.

I was thinking the same. Hope it returns soon :frowning:

Strange. Wonder why. Hopefully a software issue!!! Really hope so. It’s the best source of MS info there is. And I love Prof G. (He was my neurologist for a few years. Lovely man!)

I blame that awful Dr Dre person.

Now saying blog closed… cant find any information. ?..

It looks like its gone for good :frowning:

I have no idea what happened?

I actually feel like I’ve lost an ally. That blog was the best MS resource out there. I learnt a lot and I’m confident I would not be so well informed, or so well for that matter without it. It was Barts I heard about DMTs, it was Barts I heard about the ABN guidelines. It was Barts which gave me the courage I needed to fight and advocate for myself.

So sad.

There is a thread on shiftms and it appears someone made contact with Barts and got this response.

‘I have to close it down. It has become simply too risky to take responsibility for it from a University and Barts NHS Trust perspective. ‘

Not that I understood much of it, but the conclusions were always helpful.

I am grieving for the Barts MS Blogspot. But I think I have gone straight into the bargaining stage of the grieving process - what could I (we) do to change what is happening? Maybe the MS Society or one the other MS charities could host a similar informational resource? Has anyone else got any ideas about this?

We have an explanation.

Thank you, whammel. I have added my comment to the thread saying please keep it going! The loss of that blog would be a loss indeed.

Alison

Well you clearly did a mighty fine job Alison, because the blog is back online today. Nice work.
