To pee or not to pee, that is the question?
Hope everyone has a radar key for access to disabled loos and some in restaurants too. Available online and at shopmobility places. 24 hour loos, invaluable.
.I had an app on my old phone that showed all the loos in the country, very useful if you were somewhere you weren’t familiar with.

I can’t believe that you can just buy a radar key from Amazon (other retailers are I’m sure, also available). I was given one by a nurse years ago. But anyone able bodied can get one.
But yes, everyone should have one. And carry it about with them! They’re a bit bloody big. So I should think sticking one in your pocket or on your key ring is a bit difficult. But mine lays, generally unused, in the bottom of my handbag. (Loos in department stores are quite often a bit nicer and less chilly!)

on my 16th birthday i went to wigan casino and got paralytic on cherry B and cider.
i was wearing a new pair of oxford bags (remember them?) and the casino toilets were horrid (like the one in trainspotting).
i was sick as a dog whilst trying to stop my new trousers from trailing in the p soup.

It’s pee urgency that i have trouble with, even if i don’t have a full bladder, toviaz helps me a bit, when it works that is

I was offered self catherisation in the early days of my MS but didnt like the sound of it. Now I never get a whole nights sleep without wetting the bed or having to get up several times a night. I wish i had accepted it, all I get now is being sent for a cystoscopy everytime I complain about it.
the changing position helps to get things going, so rocking backwards and forwards like summat out One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is what i do.
but my bladder thinks that if i turn over in bed it should start peeing.
i’m often to be heard on the landing in the early hours muttering obscenities at my bladder.
i do self catheterise and it helps.
i take betmiga which is very good but my bladder still finds ways to be wayward.
makes me chuckle though
Hi poll sorry I didn’t see your question, Toviaz (fesoterodine) comes in a 4 or 8 mg prolonged release tablet its for an overactive bladder. It does certainly work , for me anyway. It’s one of the newer medications , it’s certainly seems much more effective, there are times you can get a bit of a dry mouth but that gives me an excuse to eat more sweets,
poll …i meant to add that with me, it helps me hold in pee, I felt it worked on my urethra in that i felt the muscles that are in the urethra were back to how they normally worked before. The incontinence nurse told me that it worked on the bladder and the urethra. Its for men and women so itl do the same for female equivalent, im sure. Itl be easy to Google it for full information and how it works. It certainly works a lot better than the older type medication i was given and even though i still can sometimes get a dry mouth its no where near as much as other medications iv had in the past. In theory im sure i could do without wearing pads but I always do just the same because it certainly helps with confidence when im anywhere, its good to know to that if im anywhere and I need to go and there isnt any toilets I still have the pad.
